Brought on board to drive participation numbers and sponsorship campaigns for popular public sports events The British 10k, Oxford Half and Hackney Half during a visa application period and just as the content manager resigned.

Working closely with the CEO, I oversaw all areas of the content, marketing and communications strategy from customer acquisition, app and website management, public relations, crisis communications, partner marketing campaigns and digital advertising, to content creation for email marketing, blogs and interviews, video, brand partnerships and all social posts.

Key achievements:

  • Bringing a cross-promotional campaign to life between Stylist Magazine and UN Women UK; celebrating 100 years of the vote for women – featuring Dame Kelly Holmes and 100 runners, funds were raised for the charity
  • Utilising creative strategies including paid, print, signage and charity partnerships to reach goals for ticket sales
  • #British10K trending on Twitter top 3 for UK on event day
